This 6 week evening class will focus on exploring creativity with clay through slab, hand building and the decoration processes I use within my own work. You will have time to experiment and play around with tools and techniques. You will also have time to think about the imagery you want to use in your final work.
 
I will guide you through techniques such as sgraffito, underglaze painting, glazing and the process and planning of using resist/stencil printing with decorative slips. By the end of the course you'll have created at least one piece of work. (The work will be glaze fired and ready to collect up to 2 weeks after the last class). 
 
The undercurrent of this course is supporting your creativity over making a perfect piece of ceramics. 
 
Softness and slowness is encouraged. 

The course begins on the 4th Febuary, running for 6 sessions, weekly from 6:30pm to 8:30pm You will be provided with all materials, expert guidance and the cost includes firings. 
 
Class is limited to 4 people.
